Storm Free Gold Coast

by admin on November 25, 2008

Thank goodness for that.

The Gold Coast weather forecast looks fine – will give everyone a chance to assess the water damage.

Like I say here, be aware of the next few days and the potential for problems.

Cheers

Gold Coast Rain Continues

by admin on November 19, 2008

Rain periods have continued longer than expected. We are told rain will continue for the next few days.

Generally after rain ceases and a dry hot spell follows, we experience an increased number of underground water leaks. This is caused by expansion and contraction in the ground due to changes of conditions between wet and hot/dry periods. Most of underground water pipes on the Gold Coast are Polythene (plastic) and when continual ground movement occurs this in turn can rupture the Polythene pipe or fittings.

After heavy rain periods cease, it is generally about 2 – 5 days after that we recieve a substantial number of burst water pipe repairs.
